G-Tron Inline Inspection System for Stamped Parts

Errors in stamped contacts lead to scrap, rework, and complaints. The G-Tron inline inspection system checks each part directly during production and detects deviations in the ongoing process. We at HURAS Stanzautomation ensure seamless quality monitoring of your stamped parts in real time with G-Tron.

Inline Inspection for Defect-Free Stamped Parts

In fast stamping processes, there is no time for manual control. The G-Tron automatically checks each part for dimensional accuracy, shape, and position while the line is running. If an error occurs, the system immediately stops the stamping and winding process. This prevents defective parts from entering subsequent processes. The operator can remove the affected part and continue production without scrap. The solution was developed in cooperation with the company ZENTRON and is distributed exclusively by us, Huras Stanzautomation, under the name HURASZEN in Europe.

Functionality of the G-Tron System

The G-Tron operates camera-based and integrates directly between the stamping machine and winding system. It measures critical geometries of the stamped parts with industrial high-performance cameras and evaluates the data in real time.

The system uses:

  • Up to three cameras for 3D views and complete dimensional capture
  • Industrial image processing for high-resolution detail recognition
  • Adjustable tolerance limits and automatic error output
  • Data analysis with Cp/Cpk evaluation and trend representation
  • Automatic stop function for detected defects
  • Connection to cloud and production systems for data storage and remote access

The user interface displays all measurement data in real-time. The operator can adjust tolerances, activate or deactivate measurement points, and edit limit values directly.

How You Benefit with the G-Tron in Operation

Error-Free Series Production

The G-Tron immediately detects dimensional deviations and purposefully stops the process before defective parts continue, ensuring high-quality products without scrap.

Continuous Process Monitoring

The software displays measurement data and trends in real-time, allowing you to react to deviations immediately. This keeps your production within the defined tolerance range continuously.

Reduced Rework

The system detects faults early and prevents defective subsequent processes. This reduces the effort for rework and material waste significantly.

Transparent Quality Data

The system saves all measurement values with timestamp and provides them as reports. This allows you to document your quality seamlessly and make it available at any time.

Higher System Availability

The automatic stop function prevents tool and part damage. After correction, your production continues without long downtimes.

Scalable Solution

The G-Tron adapts to different bandwidths and product geometries and enables a flexible use of the inspection system even with new items.

Typical Applications of the G-Tron

  • Punch contacts and connectors: Inline inspection of geometries, distances, lengths, and heights in mass production.
  • Continuous electroplating and PCB industry: Monitoring of punched conductor structures for shape and positional errors.
  • Precision stamped parts: Examination of micro-geometries at high cycle rates with complete image evaluation.
  • Winding and packaging lines: Final inspection and scrap prevention before winding.
